After one game!! Sounds a bit rash unless Huddersfield were genuinely terrible.
I guess there will be an epidemic of managers parting company soon.
What's the odds on Coyle getting another crack at management?

Fair play to the Huddersfield board for not hanging around, I know a few Hudds fans who couldn't stand the guy.
Just think, if we had conceded one more goal this could have been us.....

I think it says more about the board having to let a manager go after one game.
clearly they didn't do their due diligence on him. (or maybe he asked them to let him go) either way....

I'm sick of hearing the "....clubs don't give managers enough time" line. Sometimes managers are just shit, and the longer you hang onto them the deeper your trouble becomes. If we'd sacked Coyle 6 months earlier than we did we'd probably still be in the PL.
Freedman is another Coyle. If we sacked him now the damage wouldn't be so bad - another few months of this and we are doomed.

Wonder how long Megson will get when they appoint him?
What I don't understand is if they don't think he's the right guy and they have real doubts why didn't they get shot last May, or if pre-season was a disaster a couple of weeks ago! It looks like a knee jerk reaction from what would normally appear to be a well run club.

doomed to what?
If you're not in football's little elite club of 5 or 6 teams you're just in a melting pot of molten shite. So what difference does it make where we do our stewing.

If we had a decent start to the season it would be a lot easier to attract players. Are Wood, Murray and all the other rumoured targets going to want to play for a team in a relegation battle?

add all those "targets" to the team and my point still stands.

My doomed is different to yours, you watch from a distance so it's not the same.

Boggers they could appoint Pep Guardiola and still not win. They really are a shockingly bad side. Holloway pulled off a miracle keeping them up last season. They've got no chance of surviving this time and they have zero confidence as well as truly terrible players. I'll honestly be surprised if we don't beat them at least 2 or 3 nil.Boggersbelief wrote:New manager bounce right before they play us

Steve McClaren sacked and Real Madrid coach Paul Clement set to take over at the Rams.

Newcastle just got their man.

MClaren sacked? Is that confirmed? It seems a strange decision to me if it is. I thought he did pretty well for Derby last season and they'd have been in with a real shout of going up automatically this time. As to Newcastle getting their man, I have a sneaky feeling they'll go down. I honestly think Hull will beat Man Utd and Big Sam will batter the Magpies and gain his revenge on them as his swansong at the Hammers.

That is the perfect scenario for me but I have a sneaky feeling that the two point cushion will be enough for Newcastle just to survive. I can see a 0-0 draw at Hull and West Ham beating Newcastle but surviving by a point.luckyPeterpiper wrote:MClaren sacked? Is that confirmed? It seems a strange decision to me if it is.
