Nobody's questioning the validity of war memorials Scott, read the thread.
Listen, I have read the thread.
If this gets on your tits then you need to get a grip.
Does it get on yours?

When I was 7 my tortoise (Chris) escaped from the house and was cruelly run over by a car on Kennedy Drive in Little Lever. Every year I return on the anniversary of his death to pay my respects and leave a small wreath.

I don't care if that makes me maudlin.

I lost my chimp,Bruce, many years ago.
He married a widow and moved to Chalfont St Giles.
Life was never quite the same after that.
I've since learned that he died early this year after falling into the cheese dip at a garden party held in honour of Richard Keys. He was buried at sea.
