Not a massive fan of the Premier League (haven't been for a while - already well documented on here).

Because the cricket's finished early, I switched over to the Arsenal V Chelsea game to see what the score was.

Thirty seconds in, Costa gets fouled by Mertesacker and it's a red card.

(Fair enough, last man and all that.)

But his cause wasn't helped by Costa going down as though he'd been blasted through both ankles from point blank range with a 12 bore shotgun.

And doing that "roly - jumpy" thing they do now for about ten seconds.

And as soon as he saw Battenburg brandish the red card, he was up and running about like a two year old - miraculous, Jeff!

And then scored two minutes later......

I know they all do it and I know that it's somehow become accepted as "normal" and "acceptable" but I still think it's bollocks.

And that's why I turned the telly over and decided to watch something else.

Is it an age thing?

Not properly or in enough depth in my opinion.

I'll concede the point though.

I was only messing, it's virtually impossible to pick a topic that hasn't been done.

But different people may contribute so who knows where it can lead.

Yes, I know.

Which is also what I'm generally doing when I pull you on the "fat, depressed socialists are killing Nuts" threads.

That's how this works, isn't it?

I've known that all along but I can never let an opportunity to poke you in the eye pass unused.

Didn't think Costa dived in that instance to be honest, if your sprinting full pelt and have your legs taken away then you go flying.

Don't think it's a age thing it's just how the game is these days. Gets on my Tits aswell especially after seeing a video other day of Lofthouse body slamming keeper over line and the goal still stood. That's how it should be.
Same with scraps don't get many players chucking a punch these days.

Agreed.

What Costa did comes under the "and stuff" banner.

Not properly welcomed you aboard yet, Lever.

Good to have some new blood on here for a change.

Tell us a bit about yourself, mate.

32 years young, married with 2 kids. Started supporting the whites when I was about 10 year old 93/94ish .  Was season ticket holder from then till 2008. Since then it's just been the odd game I can afford. Would like to go more often and should make more of an effort but when you have 2 kids and a wife that also wants to go then it gets an expensive doo!

Was a united supporter in my youth when I 1st got into football and looked who was top of the shop. Then my dad took me burnden and that was that. Also took me Oldham away with his pal and that was an experience being a 10 year old in the early 90s.

Anyway that's enough for now. Feel like I'm on this is your life.  Laughing

You sound like you have the perfect wife if she wants to go with you! Very Happy

Just stay away from Little Italy! I got the top of a cigarette lighter in my donner calzone last week! Environmental health made a visit after my phone call.

Absolutely shocking mate!

To be fair Bread/Nat, I got a united kit for PE at primary school and it was one of them knock off's. It had one of those badges that you had to sew on and the shoe lace style part at the top.

I will never forget wearing that filth! Very Happy
