Same with scraps don't get many players chucking a punch these days.

Not properly welcomed you aboard yet, Lever.

Good to have some new blood on here for a change.

Tell us a bit about yourself, mate.
32 years young, married with 2 kids. Started supporting the whites when I was about 10 year old 93/94ish .  Was season ticket holder from then till 2008. Since then it's just been the odd game I can afford. Would like to go more often and should make more of an effort but when you have 2 kids and a wife that also wants to go then it gets an expensive doo!

Was a united supporter in my youth when I 1st got into football and looked who was top of the shop. Then my dad took me burnden and that was that. Also took me Oldham away with his pal and that was an experience being a 10 year old in the early 90s.

Anyway that's enough for now. Feel like I'm on this is your life.  Laughing
Been posting for a good few days now and not one accusation of being Angry Dad. You're doing well.

Keeper: Paul Cooper

Defence: George Burley, Mick Mills (Captain), Beattie, ????

Midfield: Roger Osborne, John Wark, Brian Talbot, Alan Hunter

Strikers: Paul Mariner, Woods

Sub: Lambert (Osborne collapsed, overwhelmed after scoring the goal)

Manger: Robby Bobson

I'd be sticking Mills at left back and 'Allan' Hunter at centre half.

Mick Mills is one of my favourite non Burnley players.

So much for me trying to be subtle in my post above!

Allan Hunter was a very good centre back in his Ipswich days.

The player you are missing is not a defender.

Driving me crazy. I know I'll remember if I channel my 10 year old self and run through that team enough times.

It was Clive Walker iirc. Didn't John Wark play for Ipswich around that time as well?

Yes, RT.

That's why Fin's got him in midfield.

Very Happy

Just turned over from the cricket again and a replay of yesterday's Goals On Sunday's on.

They're discussing Leicester beating Stoke.

How come, right........

...when we were doing well in the Prem under Allardyce, all the pundits were queueing up to pass judgement on our "long ball" brand of "ugly" football (even though we all know there was actually a lot more to our game back then than that) and yet......

....when Leicester score after Schmeichel hammers it long and Vardy gets on the end of it and slots it past the 'keeper, it's a "good" goal which should be applauded for Leicester "playing to their strengths"....?

Don't get me wrong, from what I've read and the brief bits I've seen, Leicester play some nice stuff but it does seem a bit disingenuous to have criticised us for doing it but then laud Leicester for doing the same.

Shove yer Premier League nonsense punditry and spin up yer ricker.....

going back to Costa it was a foul but was there any need for the full Greg Louganis treatment after it? Also why was Mertesacker not even looking at him when he tackled him?
