When's his contract up?
Enough's enough now - get rid.

Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!
Exactly what I was thinking when I saw this. He's no use to us at all. A few games a season just isn't good enough.Breadman wrote:When's his contract up?

Mark Davies is set to be out of action for up to four months after a knee injury.
The midfielder trained earlier in the week but after some slight swelling in his knee scans have now revealed he is set for a period on the sidelines.
“He trained on Monday and looked great,” Neil Lennon said. “He then came in on Tuesday with a bit of swelling on his knee so we sent him off for a scan.
“The scan came back, we then went and got a second opinion and it now looks like he needs a microfracture.
“It’s a huge blow for us. He’s been working really hard recently and offers us that something different.”

Can't believe he has done his knee in again!
Mavies and Holden need to go.

This is a certain blow to us for this season. We don't have much in the middle and the new manager effect can't last forever. Unless Lennon can find a couple of good players in January I think we are set for mid-table at best. We have Becks & Mavies gone in the space of two days whether you liked them or not, that is two senior players out.
When the dust settles I agree that it is probably time to move Mavies out if we can find a buyer....the lad is just injury prone and that's all there is to it.

Who would buy someone as injury prone as he is.
Looks like we'll simply need to run his contract down and then let him fend for himself

Hopefully this doesn't give Spearing a route back into the team. We look 10 times better with 2 midfielders capable of trapping and passing the ball. I'd give Medo or Vela a run there.

Medo was going to replace Modric at Spurs, surly he can find his way back.bwfc1874 wrote:Hopefully this doesn't give Spearing a route back into the team. We look 10 times better with 2 midfielders capable of trapping and passing the ball. I'd give Medo or Vela a run there.

i think in the short term it will be Spearing, hopefully him being dropped may have given him the kick up the arse he needed for a long while. I would also like to see Vela given a go alongside Danns.

Medo isn't good enough. Had plenty of chances and never looked the part.

Medo has to be given another chance under Lennon.
He is the central midfield equivalent of Chung Yong Lee. Completely ineffective when he's off his game, a class act when he's on it.
