No but that's what you hinted at so you'd see what you'd missed in your life.Natasha Whittam wrote:Soul Kitchen wrote:
I'll bet 58 got upto mischief on Sheppy, it was as I said earlier a multi recreational area, it's just that in his case, and mine, it was reality and possibly prefers, as I do, to keep "early fondles" as good memories to cherish but not to share!
Not all men boast about their past conquests like you'd like to!!!
No one asked you to kiss and tell. You bellend.

What primary school did you go round there?
Was gas bags still going then?
I went to Oxford Grove and we used to pot them regularly at cricket and football.

Yeah... it was on Tuesday. Deep, meaningful conversation over Vodka and Schweppes and a quick peck goodnight. I'm looking forward to the second date.

Oh dear they must have improved.
Church Rd was considered rather posh when I was a lad but I met quite a few who went there when I went to secondary school, and they blew the myth away.

My old school and the first team I ever played for.
My first proper girl friend was Barbara.
Do you know I can't even remember now how we met.
She was a lovely girl too.
The problem was she lived up Turton or some place that way and I was a Halliwell boy and it was long before the days that I had a car, so we had to meet up by bus.
She was happy to spend half her life traveling forwards and backwards to meet up with me in town but it seemed to me that we were only together for five minutes before she had to catch the bus to get her home before 10pm.
I knew there wasn't much point going on like that so I dumped her in as nice as way as I could but I could see it hurt her.
I wasn't proud of my self but it was the only sensible thing to do.
Many years later my dad was doing rehabilitation at Townleys following a stoke and she was the specialist taking care of him.
I don't know if she recognised me and I didn't let on but I did wonder what might have been if I had thought with my heart instead of with my head so many years before.
My dad was moved to Hulton Lane Hospice soon after and had no further treatment from her, so I never saw her after that one time and guess I never will again now.
If only...

Why does every new poster have to be a previous poster under another name?

you two are definitely hooligans as I tended to stay closer to Arnold Street and Bennetts Lane!Breadman wrote:Soul Kitchen wrote:Shepherd Cross Street playing fields, the multi function recreational area had a lot to answer for!
Can't remember any particular names now but loads of mischief, especially beyond around the garages that backed onto Oxford Grove and Avondale Street.
Boo!
Bottom Level hooligan alert!
We stayed on the top pitches because you lot were dangerous mentalists.
