Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!

Do you know anyone who can fix televisions at a reasonable price?

I have a 3D tv and a few months ago my little shit of a 2 year old decided to throw one of his little toy dinosaurs at it and the bottom third of the screen is fucked.

Anyone I ask seems to think it would be cheaper to buy a new TV than get this one repaired, but how can this be true? Surely it is cheaper to get hold of a screen for the tv than to buy a whole new one.

600 quid this fucker cost me and I'm gutted. Do you know anyone who can fix tv's without ripping me off?

Thanks in advance nutters.

Can't you claim on your house insurance for accidental damage and just pay the excess for a new telly? Smile

I would have thought that due to it being screen damage, you would be looking at paying quite a bit for parts and labour, I reckon £100-£150 hence my last post.

It's a 51 inch Samsung 3d TV.

I don't own my own home so I don't have home insurance. I did have my tv insured separately but didn't renew it when it came round, the idiot that I am. Insurance is a must when you have little ones trying to destroy the place, unfortunately I fucked up there.

Cheers johnny I will check them out.

I've got the 48" samsung 3d. Must admit the 3d thing was amazing at first but just seems a faff now.  Only had mine since just before Xmas.   Although i might get new batteries for the glasses when they put the ten minute freeviews in 3d

(I jest of course)

Might be worth checking ebay for replacement screens or someone selling the same model for spares or repairs. As Samsung is a popular brand you may get lucky
