Bolton Wanderers announce that Neil Lennon has left the club by mutual consent

Bolton Wanderers can announce that the club have today, Tuesday 15 March, parted company with manager Neil Lennon by mutual consent.

All at Bolton Wanderers would like to thank Neil for his contributions during his time at the club.

Academy manager Jimmy Phillips will take charge of the first team on an interim basis.

Could be we'll save on wages and be able to play Spearing. Saved...or possibly not.

We can start to look for a new manager whilst saving Lennon's wage and also rebuilding for next season when we are in League 1.

Maybe Deano's team have Phil Brown lined up already for replacement?

i'm happy to be honest.  i think the players we have at our disposal aren't playing as well as they could be.  new blood, new manager effect for a few games but left it too late imo

Eddie wasn't going to dump the manager as that would have meant he had to spend money.

It looks like Deano and Co have given him the game against Preston or he's out perhaps?

He's been a dead man walking for ages now, the players need a fresh approach and to hear a different voice, it may mean a pick up in our results but it's too late for this season i think.

We have time now to sort our shit out and prepare for League 1.

I can only see this as a positive thing IMO.
