Already use it thanks karly. It picks up 2 pieces of "potentially unwanted programs" which I delete but it doesn't solve the problem for some reason. In fact I've now run a full scan using malware SIX times today and on all six occasions the same 2 threats have been reported and allegedly removed.
I would just add I only seem to have this problem on Google Chrome. Nothing like it happens on Firefox. Anyway, I'm still in possession of my Windows 7 and licence so I think if worst comes to worst I'll just 'nuke' the drive with a full re-format and re-install from scatch.
