IS publish justification for burning pilot.
Nothing to do with Islam though.
It's just plagiarism.
The Babylonians were known to embody "an eye for an eye" in their law. They were copied by the Jews (it's in the Torah/Talmud)
Then the Jewish sub-sect - the Christians - adopted "the Old Testament" of the God of Abraham and "eye for an eye" appears in Deuteronomy.
600 years later the same principle was incorporated in the Koran - because obviously before the Prophet, the people who were the first converts to Islam were in fact Jews and people with other religions (mainly pagan animists apparently) so it was part of their belief structure.
Using the concept of revenge in religion is (sadly) commonplace.
Most religious texts contradict themselves anyway as they are written by many people over many years. Jesus apparently said "turn the other cheek" so how does that square away with "an eye for an eye"?

I hope IS aren't monitoring this site or Hipster is in trouble.

You know it's gonna happen because we are a weak country!
What are you basing this on? How many politicians are Muslim and how many of them are hardline enough to want sharia law?

I don't foresee any situation in which we could have sharia law - it's nonsense peddled by far right groups.
there are precedents however where "sharia courts" operating outside actual law operate in this country I hope this kind of thing continues to get the contempt and punishment it deserves.
would also be helpful if things like FGM and ritual animal slaughter were taken seriously.

Children being crucified, having limbs cut off and being buried alive.
and Nat is worried about the criticism of these acts rather than the acts themselves.
and people wonder why these things continue to happen.

I resent your insinuation that IS stand for every person who follows Islam.

Haven't insinuated anything of the kind. But It doesn't surprise me you can't grasp the nuance of the topic.
my argument is that not only does islam endorse this behaviour it commands it, thats why it's so frustrating to constantly hear that this is nothingtodowithislam. Does that mean everyone who follows Islam stands with IS, no obviously not, does that mean they all agree with it, no obviously not.
It's like saying all christians agree with slavery and the crusades. Obviously they don't. But where those things "nothing to do with christianity?" of course not, the bible commands slavery. The people who want to pretend it's all rainbows and lollypops need to accept the bad this kind of thinking endorses too. Religion isn't all charity and love for thy brother. Thats why we need debate. People like you who stop debate dead with ridiculous accusations of hatred and racism allow this crap to continue unabashed.
