What actually is our best team right now?

Following on from the Lonergan v Bogdan thread, I find it difficult to know anymore what exactly is our best team is right now.

We apparently are being linked to a right back so I if true I guess McNcaughton isn't either fit anytime soon or rated by Lennon.  He must also think Vela has limitations because I can't see him moving into the midfield right now.

Wheater is back, so does he walk back into the team when the defence as been so good recently?

Trotter had a great game by all accounts, so does he step in, in place of Lee who is away this month?

Pratleys taken three years to find any form but he's playing superbly now I'm told, so I guess the change of team philosophy means he stays in and Spearing and Medo don't?

Does Eidur play the creative role, does Clough start in the role behind the two strikers - if so who are to two strikers now the Craig Davies is back?

I'm a bit lost now to know what our strongest team is any more.

Is Feeney our best (only) wing option?  Which 35plus year old players do we start?  As for Mavis, have we given up on him now?

What do others think?

McNaughton is now fit and available for the Leeds game.

i would say Heskey and Davies would be interchangeable depending on fitness

We have a lot of options, shame it's only in the centre of midfield - I wouldn't let Trotter anywhere near the starting 11 to be honest.

This is the mind-bloggling thing with our Neil in charge ...... players who we wanted to get shut of 3 months ago are now causing a selection problem.  If we get anywhere near the top six this bloke should have manager of the year award locked up.
I am liking Heskey up front with Eidur behind him.....Clough as sub for either one of them.

Although Cavis is doing well....I still like him off the bench.

We definitely need a left winger/midfielder but Hall is not the answer, he has been absolute bobbins.

I won't disagree but at this moment in time, we're so short on wingers he and feeney are our best options. (How bad is that?)

It makes you wonder how the fuck Freedman managed to bring in so many central midfielders and leave himself so short on wide options without the board questioning it.

Yes i can He's a better right back than Mcnaughton despite being out of position and inexperienced why? because he as ability and can use a ball and distribute well. he offers much more to the team than a pure defender can.

Hall is simply not good enough i would even bring Kellet back and try him before Hall. or can't i say that ? Pick Hall and you carry a player almost down to 10 men.
