Bolton Wanderers today launches its 2023/24 Macron third kit, in collaboration with Bolton Wanderers in the Community.
Placing community front and centre, the sea-green kit will bear the logo of the Club’s official charity across the front and £5 from the sale of every adult shirt will be donated to support Bolton Wanderers in the Community’s not-for-profit work.
The kit is available to purchase online now and will be in store from 4pm, Tuesday 25th July in the run-up to Tuesday night’s friendly at home to Everton (KO 7.45pm).
Designed by Bolton Wanderers’ staff in partnership with Macron, the shirt is a love letter to Bolton itself, and the community spirit and togetherness that sets the town apart.
A silhouette of the town’s most iconic landmarks – including the Toughsheet Community Stadium and Bolton Town Hall – features along bottom of the reverse of the shirt while the word ‘Bolton’ sits at the nape of the neck. Adding a splash of colour, it is a direct lift from the logo of Bolton Council, which was originally designed in a myriad of colours to celebrate the diversity of the town.
An abstract diamond shape features across the front and back of the shirt – a nod to the stadium’s iconic floodlights – and the striking sea-green of the shirt is complemented with a navy button-down collar and sleeve cuffs.
In a show of solidarity with the message at the heart of the third kit, Club Principal Partner Victorian Plumbing, when offered the opportunity, selected homelessness charity Emmaus’ logo to be featured on the back of the shirt, and short sponsors Utilita have kindly replaced their usual logo with that of Utilita Giving – the energy company’s charity that aims to aid people in fuel and food poverty.
Neil Hart Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers said: “The launch of this third kit is a very special moment for the Club.
“This is something I’ve wanted to do for some time and we hope supporters enjoy the many ways we have aimed to celebrate not only our Club via the design and launch of this kit, but our town, and the people who make Bolton an amazing place to live and work.
“Our thanks go to not only first team players Victor, Josh and Jón who took part in the shoot but to Joe, Morgan, Charlie, Fran and Clara who joined them to represent both Club and Community staff, and supporters.
“I also extend my thanks to Bolton Council who were fully supportive of our plan to place their logo on the shirt and generously allowed us use of the magnificent town hall for the photoshoot.”
Phil Mason, Chief Operating Officer at Bolton Wanderers and Chief Executive of Bolton Wanderers in the Community said: “This is a wonderful moment for Bolton Wanderers in the Community and Emmaus and Utilita Giving, the two other charities who feature on this special kit.
“The team of dedicated and passionate staff at Bolton Wanderers in the Community work with some of the most disadvantaged people in Bolton and the surrounding areas. The charity engages with over 15,000 people every year, leveraging the power and influence of this historic football club to connect with individuals from so many walks of life.
“The funds raised the charity from the sales of this shirt will go directly to them – pushing forward our vision for a connected Bolton, without disadvantage.”
