After many years of being a bit sniffy about my Kindle, I find I'm now using it more and more.
No need to have a reading lamp on at night, and it's so easy to hold.
The latest one is waterproof, so I can read it in the bath.
It'll never replace a book, but I owe it an apology for my initial disdain.

Yes kindles definitely have their uses but I don't see them ever replacing books. Thank goodness.

Wherever I live, my bookshelves are always my favourite part of home. I love to see them fill up with books I’ve read and now my eldest son has started to be the same way. He has his own shelves and takes pride in filling them with books he’s read.boltonbonce wrote:Very true. I’ve been unable to take to the e-books and Think it’s partly for the reason above. There’s nothing like a physical book for me.
I’m currently reading Murakami’s IQ84 which has me hooked.

I've been reading about the Bolton Whitmanites. Very interesting.
Strangely enough Fin, I swore never to buy a Kindle, but succumbed, and, despite my misgivings, I've come to accept it. I simply can't cope with the books I already have, and find it difficult to part with them, so I get snowed under.
It's very easy on the eyes too. You should try one.

I always found Enid Blyton a bit dodgy, but we really shouldn't be allowing young children to read such filth!
Mr Pink-Whistle indeed.
