Serious question now:
That house you bought last year near Chorley - is it really a house or is it a Doomsday Prepper's bunker?
You seem convinced that this country is currently poised precariously on the brink of annihilation from the likes of IS and Putin's Russia.
Do you bathe in a tin hat?
No Its not.
However, I do have a BOB... for any SHTF moments.
I just believe, with justification, that a country needs to be able to defend itself. The greens disagree with me.
We don't need a smaller Armed Force, we need a bigger one. we need 2 Trident subs on patrol at all times not one, our navy needs more ships, We need to get our aircraft carriers to sea ASAP.
We need the wherewithal to defend ourselves independently without relying on NATO, chances are, if it ever does go pear shaped, half of the NATO countries would suddenly decide it wasn't for them and would fuck us off.
We need a bigger army with better equipment to see off any land threat.
We need a bigger navy to protect our borders should we ever have to.
We need a bigger air force to shoot down any planes that try to bomb us.
We need a more formidable nuclear deterrent to do just that, DETER threats - the greens wouldn't have the bottle to retaliate if we ever had too. If we were ever wiped out, id want to know the country that did it would also be wiped out. I believe the MAD doctrine works.
I've seen how cruel the world can be in my younger days, I understand we need to be able to take on any threat that may (or may not - cant take that chance im afraid) rear its head.
