1. When it rains the golf course I walk the dog on floods and it takes on the appearance of The Somme and it's fucking hard work.

2. I get soaked to the bollocks and so does the dog.

3. He's a big dog and it takes half an hour to dry him off when we get home because he's got a double coat and it holds water better than a fucking sponge.

I like the rain especially at night the streets are deserted and no one is watching you.

To be fair though, your rain's a bit different to ours.

Over there it hammers it down for a bit then the sun comes out and half an hour later you'd never know it had ever rained in the first place.

And your rain tends to be warm.

And it's quite pleasant and refreshing on a hot, sticky, humid day.

Over here it starts raining on a Monday morning and doesn't stop for a week.

And it's bastard freezing.

Even in June.

Our rain's shit.

The rain in Florida is great it bombs down its warm and I like standing out in it and swallowing it while watching the Lightning fucking biz and it brings out fantastic smells. Don't think I can take another winter here it might be my last one if I can persuade the wife to leave the kids here while we live over there, been offered a partnership in a classic car bussiness in Clearwater but it's a big risk.

My old man always called it wet rain, could never fucking work that out as a kid but now I know what he meant.
