I worry about any player being taken on "trial". Kalifa Cisse is bound to be crap, hope I'm proven wrong.

Know what you mean, but he chose not to sign a new contract at Bristol. Had they not offered him one, I'd of been disturbed by the news, but they seem keen to keep him. Surely a good sign.

Fair enough, you make a good point. And we do need a central midfielder as I'm not convinced Mark Davies will fit into Coyle's plans.

How many center backs do we need exactly? and the other bloke played 62 games with 2 goals. Jumping to conclusion naturally but that's another one who can't get into the box enough to make a diference.
For me we still need somebody to replace SKD and an experienced backup goalie. That should be enough for this season IMO.

I think OC wants to make sure we have cover for all positions without any need for 'make shift' players considering that the games will be coming thick nad fast in the Championship. Two games per week will be more than a number of our Overpaid Ponces™ will be able to handle, I fear. We've brought in Lonergan, so I would like to see another forward before we conclude our business. Sordell, SKD, N'Going and Joe McWho does not inspire a lot of confidence for what is going to be a difficult season.

As regards another striker young O'Halloran might just come good in the Championship -another possible striking option.

Another complete mystery to me. He was used sparingly last season but from what I saw of him I thought he showed a lot of promise.

What is the point of bringing the likes of O'Halloran, Vela, Riley through the ranks if they never get any decent game time ?

Same point as spending £3 million on a striker (who is good enough to represent his country at the Olympics) and never play him!

Ask the tactical genius called Coyle.

Sturridge has until Friday to prove he has recovered from meningitis. if he is not passed fit then Sordell may get his chance sooner than he may have thought.
