I can't remember Big Sam gazumping or trying to gazump any of our other transfer targets in the 5 years since he left. Do you not think that it might just be a case of a good player being available on a free transfer?

I'm with LH on this, BSA can be a cunt at times but he has never tried to steal a player from under our noses before since he left. He likes a freebie and obviously sees him as a good deal.

Kevin Keegan signed Guthrie and Joe Kinnear signed Nolan. BSA did sign Faye though.

Karim is now first team coach at Chamois Niortais, in the French 2nd division. His job is basically to recruit quality players in France.
I texted him to see if the "rock" would be any good for Bolton and he replied "he's just an awesome machine"!
That basically means, he's fucking awesome! But I still don't want him to sign for us. Just do one Sanchez and I hope your plane crashes if you ever manage to catch one! Loser!
