Snap.
I blame that Barb for putting the idea in my head.
Two fish, one large bag of chips - £6.90 from a proper chippy on Old Lane.
Very nice and reasonably priced to boot.

That's the one.
Although the Spa is now no longer a boozer - it is now (of all things) a nursery.
Who'd 'ave thunk it?

Blimey.
Suppose the Catholic church opposite Kingdom Hall is gone too. Mum used to play bingo in there on a Sunday night. We only lived off Seddon Street,so it was just handy.

The Church and the school both got flattened a couple of years back - sorry.
The Jehovials appear to be thriving though.

I'm in Walkden visiting family, might try Davardis pizza. Used to be really good 20 year ago.

Not had one from there for ages. If I'm in Walkden I usually head straight for Pryces for a pie and a salad barm.

Let us know how you get on because I've never been.
Like you, the last time Mrs B went was about 20 years ago and she used to love it apparently.
Cheers.

It's taken you fourteen and three quarter hours to get home?
Did you walk?
Or is your new car just really, really slow?

No. I had a three hour drive this morning. 8 hours working and almost 4 hours driving home.

Went there last night. I thought it wasn't as good as it used to be, girlfriend thought it was a "greasey doughy mess".

Just a chip butty.
Had to put a garden bench together. Said on the box it'd take 2 people 20 minutes to assemble.
I was on my own,so in between racing from York and Ascot it took me 4 hours.
I'm sure it'll be fine as long as no one sits on it.
