Tinned Toms - You know it makes sense!
Old lane chippy is a bit shit. They tend to not cook the chips long enough and half the time I end up with chips that are a little crunchy. If I decide on having summat from a chippy I'll go to the market chippy on Farnworth precinct, the Walkden bar or if I'm up at mi mams in Horwich I'll go to Mr Chips in Horwich town centre, they do a lovely rag pudding.Breadman wrote:karlypants wrote:Fish and chips this evening.
Snap.
I blame that Barb for putting the idea in my head.
Two fish, one large bag of chips - £6.90 from a proper chippy on Old Lane.
Very nice and reasonably priced to boot.

Not really, but I do draw the line at crunchy, undercooked chips. If you're speciality is cooking chips, which, less be honest, isn't very difficult, the very least you can do is leave them in the death liquid a bit longer and cook them through. Paul is a nice guy but he can't cook chips for shit.
