Darren Pratley

Is that an announcement or speculation?

If it's an announcement, it's not a surprise really. He led by example when he was fit last season and Lennon obviously rates him.

i said that ages ago, i knew he would be if it is an announcement.

A fully fit Pratley will get us 10-15 goals next season.  COYW

It's tough to pick anybody with such a young squad, aside from Ream and Pratley there's no other experienced players you'd back to be first team every week. 

I'd quite like to see Vela have it but apparently he's quite quiet. The lack of leaders is a little worrying, hopefully Derik has a bit about him.

There is Wheater, Pratley, Ream, Dervite that you could possibly choose from at the moment, for me Pratley will lead by example as long as he doesn't suffer the same curse Spearing did

As I've been saying for years, we need to sign a captain, not pick from the current bunch of proven bottlers.

An average player with leadership skills would make a hugely positive difference to this team.

Okay, so thats the problem, whats the solution

Who is available who we can afford who fits this description

So it's Boggers' speculation and not an announcement that Pratley has the job?

seems like it.  although there is no one better in my opinion in the current squad

Obviously that utter tugboat Spearing will be captain again.

Rudy Austin formerly of Leeds is free and a captain. He didn't have his best ever game last night but Jamaica outplayed Costa Rica and they held us to a 2-2 draw in the Gold Cup. McAnuff who I suggested we snap up from Leyton Orient was our best player and he captained Reading up to 2 seasons ago. He took the ball from half line and scored our equaliser.

are you a manager with a team of scouts..........because only someone with those would be able to come up with an answer like that   (And no fifa doesn't count keegan!)

We just moved from Copa America where we lost 1-0 to Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay but performed creditably as the margins suggest, to our first game in the Gold Cup last night. Easy scouting, Johnny!
