well what exactly do we have to be optimistic about? I'm struggling, the only plus i can think of for the new season is that i get to get out of house and away from the wife and kids for a few hours

Something odd's just happened.
I woke up early (for a Saturday) and thought "New season starts today!" and I felt slightly excited.
That hasn't happened for years.
Even back when we weren't in the complete and utter mess we're in now.
I think that I have subconsciously given up and because I have absolutely no expectations whatsoever for this season, there's no pressure and I can hopefully just relax and enjoy it.
Come on you Whites!
(But I will not be standing in any car parks "entertaining" truckers to try and influence matches this year - Didn't like it, not doing it again. They're on their own.)

I can't swim.
Which is why falling into our local pond was not a good idea.

I woke this morning and felt a bit meh about the whole thing. I literally cant remember the last time I wasnt at the first match of the season somewhere, Bath are at home today and the sun is shining...my health not up to going, but even if it were, I dont feel the usual start of season excitement, hope this afternoon on chatbox will help. COYWM (whispered not shouted!)

A poll of Wanderers fans today would probably tell a different story. Confidence is on the up.

I was excited for the start of the season like I wasn't a year ago, to be sure. Stayed up almost all night then slept through the first half...
