Would A Curfew Work In The Uk?

There's no doubt that the majority of the anti-social behaviour in this country is down to teenagers, and there's little doubt that the majority occurs in the evening.

So is it time for a curfew for everyone under 18? If the government introduced a curfew at, say, 7.30pm would it work?

Obviously it can't be policed to any great degree, but if teenagers were caught out after 7.30pm their parents could get a £50 fine each time it happens. It would soon stop.

Am I onto something?

I've seen that episode of the Simpsons as well.

It may work but it wouldn't be fair. This is England we're supposed to have a certain level of freedom, most teenagers aren't twats, and not all anti social behaviour is the work of teenagers. In fact the worse cases like assault is more likely to be carried out by idiots in town on a night out, who tend to be older.
