We're all humans and should be allowed to live where we want. Anyone who thinks different is racist.

Shouldn't that be a 'raceist'?

It's only a matter of time before the shit hits the fan in Spain. The Spanish government have just put out the begging bowl for a 50 billion loan from the Eurozone.

I don't think the greasy olives will put a big dent in our population problems. The greeks haven't got a massive population to start with.

These fcuking idiots protesting in their designer gear haven't a bloody clue about ethnic cleansing. They have probably never heard of Kosovo or Srebrenica.

Its between 80 and 100 billion and only to be used for the Banking sector. The problems are there but nowhere near as bad as Greece - hence the clauses for the money are nowhere near as tight as what Greece's are. In this scenario it is basically a Euro loan to keep the Banks going rather than to help out the repayments National Debt, although it doesn't really help the national debt. If anything the Spanish problem was the Banks lending for building projects and when the recession hit there was no return. Once recession starts to disappear (at this rate could be between next 5 to 10 years!) then the building projects will start again and money will roll again and thus pay off the loan faster - hopefully!

My first post on here;

The first line of this thread is something like = the next massive influx will be from Greece.

There is no proof for these wild statements. Why should a greek family sell up house and home take their children out of school and start a new life in a strange land where they cant speak the language. It doesn't add up but people will still come out with these stupid comments.

Greetings. You have a point, but you could say the same about Poland.

Hello Natasha, from what I know there is no comparison between the Polish and the Greek people. The Poles are hard working grafters and you dont have to bewhere of them if they bear gifts.

I'm moving to Greece when I'm 40, I hope there will be enough Greeks left there to wait on me hand and foot.

And retirement age is only between 50 and 55! That is one of the major reasons for their financial disaster - not enough money in the pot to cover an increasing number of Greeks living to a much older age.

Hi pleased to meet you. But why do you make these silly comments. The retirement age in greece is not 50 I dont know what it is and nether do you but I dont go round pretending I do.

<P class=first>Greece's government intends to raise the national pension age and ban early retirement as it tries to tackle its huge budget deficit.
The socialist government said it wanted to increase the average retirement age from 53 to 63 by 2015.

The steps would be part of a series of austerity measures aimed at curbing the country's deficit and national debt.

But the moves have angered many of the unions, which have scheduled strikes in protest.

Civil servants - who are among those most affected by the pension reforms - are due to walk out on Wednesday this week.

Farmers have already been protesting for weeks, demanding more government assistance, and the country's biggest union, GSEE, is set to hold a mass walk-out on 24 February.

The unions complain the Greek government has bowed to the markets and pressure from the EU.

Reforming its pension system has been outlined by the European Commission as a priority area for Greece as it struggles to save its economy. (BBC News Website)

Thanks for the info (53 not 50) but gettin back to the point why would someone from Greece suddenly decide to go and live in England as the post is saying.

I know I did when i moved to Holland. But there again, my girlfriend at the time was living in Holland and I had just got a job there and moved within 3 days of getting the job. But have no intention of moving back to UK.

PS I said between 50 and 55 as wasn't to sure but I do know that a certain number of people, in Greece, do retire between those ages (as the BBC source only advises the national average!) - plus get told by Greek friends.

Its not possible to have a debate if some people (not you) are making up 'facts' so I wont.

In my opinion the whole creation of the EU was a load of bollocks. Countries like Switzerland had the right idea not joining up.

I think the amounts of money we are having to give to the EU budget is crazy, approx £15bn a year. That is like 15m people giving £1000 income tax straight to the EU.

We cannot even implement most of our own laws because of the flipping EU.

I think its ridiculous that people from other countries are free to move to other EU countries permanently and most come just to sponge of society.

I think it is shocking that a country like Greece which is so corrupt and they are lazy and don't pay taxes can get huge bails out from the rest of the EU - and yet they still don't want to agree to the austerity measures as part of the deal.

Fuck the EU.

Unfortunatly there are some people who will read comments like Michael's and believe it because they want to think bad of europe. We make our own laws in this country same as everywhere else.
