I seem to be luckier than you guys as I can pack in for Christmas more or less when I want to. I'll probably stop round about 21st and start again about the 4th- but if I get bored I might do some work between Christmas and New year. I work from home mostly.

Working, again. Got to be cos I'm junior. Did last year as well. Still I can always look forward to February and a long weekend.

Worst Christmas working ever was when I was at Allied Bakeries.

My shift rota meant that I got stiffed for four years, having to go in on Boxing Day morning at half four with an electrician to start all the plant and ovens up.

Christmas Day ruined because I had to be in bed for 8pm and couldn't have a beer.

For four bloody years.....

Thoroughly miserable.

I used to enjoy working at stolen from ivor Christmas eve, boxing day and new years eve. It always added to the build up. (Only did it twice but i still enjoyed it Smile )

When in the Army,  and on shift in Civvy street, it was the norm for the pads to have Christmas off, and the singlies to take the new Year.

This year my Christmas preparation started on 1st April, when I retired, and I still haven't bought anything Smile
