Well, its coming to that time of year again, Christmas. santa

I love this time of year! I like buying all the pressies for the kids and other family members. Its all worth it when you see their faces opening up their presents and seeing what I have (and haven't got them).

I like the Christmas songs, the happy mood everyone seems to get in.

Do you Love it or Loathe it? What are your reasons for this

Love this time of year, it's a time when SOME of the miserable bastards actually have a smile on their face....for a day at least. Very Happy

Oh and we play a lot of games over the christmas period.

The best Christmas' for me were when my kids were younger. Seeing their faces when they opened their presents when they still believed in Santa was magic. It doesn't get much better than seeing your kids being happy.

Also good, having grandchildren and making your other half happy. Oh and seeing Bolton win.

It's nice walking round Manchester and visiting the Christmas market.

Its not Christmas without a visit to the German market for some mulled wine wrapped up nice and warm in the dark with the lights twinkling...

I need a woman... fast Embarassed

The woman across the road from me has had them up for 2 weeks now. Flashing lights in all her windows and a massive tree at the front of her house.

I love Christmas when it is actually Christmas. When I see houses all done up for Christmas before it's even Halloween though (and I have), I wanna go mad!

December 1st is when I start feeling the Christmas cheer.

Just off Albert square (a pedestrianised way between Albert square and Deansgate) there is a normally a great snack shack that sells Olliebollen in their many versions - my favourite being withn raisens. That and the mulled wine just perfect whilst walking around the stalls, and then later on in the evening the German Pils lager from the many beer tents and stalls.

Manchester Christmas Market has to be one of the best, if not THE best, in the UK!!

Also on albert square there are normally a couple of Dutch cheese stalls with various Dutch cheeses - both old and young, and they also normally sell Dutch savories such as "Stroopwaffle" which are absolutely yummy, and don't forget the flower stall which is actually from Aalsmeer, near the flower market!!!

A grown man should never use the word "yummy".

It's a delicacy derived from liquidising the parsons nose. I'm surprised you haven't tried it seeing as you come from Venky country.
