Turkey always seems a bit dry. Has anyone tried goose ?

I can't stand Turkey tbh. Had a Pork Belly last year and it was nice, this year it's fish, Salmon en croute.

looking forward to it.

I quite fancy the 3 birds roast - something a bit different...usually turkey, duck and chicken with stuffing.

Good reviews here of all the supermarket offerings, if it grabs your fancy!

Not quite sure what we are having as we are meeting up with friends on Christmas Day, for the whole day.

Thankfully its a normal train service on Christmas Day!!!

Good to hear that it's a normal service on the trains. Scotrail though have decided to strike all day on Christmas Eve because one of their guys was sacked.
That will affect many trains both in England and Scotland so people trying to get home (for turkey or goose or salmon or even egg on toast) will be given serious problems.
What sort of people would play a trick like that!!

Lets put it this way, rammy, thankfully I don't live in UK as in Greater Manchester the trains start winding down from 6pm on Christmas Eve and don't run on Christmas Day then its a Sunday service with less trains, due to maintenance works, between Boxing Day and New Years Eve and then starts all over again until 7th January!!!

I had the one from Aldi last year and it tasted fine. This year it's going to be beef.

Nope, in fact we are going to see my girlfriends parents at the beginning of January and then go to Bolton to see my parents before moving into our temporary apartment in Tower Hamlets for about 3-6 months.

So we are partying with friends we wont see for a few months.

So you're leaving your native Holland for the East end of London? I find that hard to believe.

1. Holland is not my native land. England is. In fact Bolton born and bred and proud to call Bolton my hometown.

2. The move, as I said is temporary and it coincides with training for my new job, which also includes training trips to Dallas and Washington.

3. My girlfriend starting her 3 month experience within a finance company as part of her studies.

But I will be going back to Holland after the training to head up the new office they are setting up in Amsterdam.
