I watched the first series. It was watchable, but nothing special.

Yeah, while it's not exactly original it is very funny - they definitely picked the right actors. Lee Boardman (Hodge) is one of my favourite actors. And forgive me for sounding like Mr Amos, but he's also the voice of Road Wars. Not many people know that.

I knew that! I loved Road Wars, mainly because of Boardman's narration.

The scene: Police arrested extremely drunk driver.

Boardman (In thick manc accent): "What's this guy been drinking? Antifreeze!?"

lol!

I agree with Natasha in that it isn't very origianl as there was something very similar during the early 1990's starring David Jason - again on ITV, "A Bit Of A Do."

But I have to say that "Great Night Out" is actually a laugh aloud comedy and found some very funny scenes, especially in the first 3 episodes.

Road Wars is still being shown every night on Sky1.

I still remember Lee Boardman as the drug dealer on Coronation Street than Jim McDonald killed off.

Went watching ''The Impossible'' on Saturday (not based on bolton trying to get back to back wins). For something that was a true story it was incredible, Naomi Watts and Ewan Mcgrergor were brilliant but the lad that played their oldest son stole the show IMO.

Well worth a watch for anyone who is yet to see it.

I had a break from the old routine last night as for once I had the house to myself and sat down some home comforts and a determination to watch some absolute mindless crap that wouldn't usually get past the censor aka the missus. I ended up watching The Dictator which is Sacha Baron Cohen doing an offensive North African dictator (as it says on the tin).

Having managed to get past the fact that it was SBC with the assistance of a couple of popular brain muscle relaxants, I have to confess that I enjoyed it overall, and almost pissed myself on a couple of occasions.

It's strength was that the SBC character managed to insult just about every religion, institution, gender and individual in the most cringeworthy way. There was absolutely nothing tasteful about it whatsoever and on that basis I would recommend it to anyone who like me is sick and childish.

I like being sick and childish sometimes.

Anyone watching Utopia or The Following? Great for conspiracy theorists everywhere and not bad plots so far although weak in parts. Loads of gratuitous violence and death in both.

I love The Following, I tend to avoid British thrillers as they're normally crap.

Pretty much sums them both up. Having said that I'm watching both of them.

The Following is a lot slicker but Utopia has an interesting style.

Not a fan of conspiracy theories myself, I prefer the cock up explanation.

I am thoroughly enjoying Boardwalk Empire. Nearly finished Season 2. Very good entertainment but not quite up there with The Sopranos.

I've seen all 3 seasons of Boardwalk and only the 1st of the Sopranos so far (I'm going to get the rest on DVD when I have some spare cash).

Similar style shows about Gangster life in two different eras of New Jersey. From what I've seen, I think Boardwalk just edges it.

I would be interested in how you feel after seeing another two series of the Sopranos but we are all entitled to our opinions. I gave up on Boardwalk after a couple of episodes of season 2 - I just lost interest.

I would highly recommend seeing Goodfellas, Casino and Donnie Brasco if you haven't already caught them.

I'm 28, why would I want to watch a cartoon?

Season 2 seemed a lot slower than season 1 - but I like the style and the characters. Still waiting for Al Capone to kick off.

The surgery in the US is years ahead of the UK.
