Reebok Trotter wrote:I am thoroughly enjoying Boardwalk Empire. Nearly finished Season 2. Very good entertainment but not quite up there with The Sopranos.

I've seen all 3 seasons of Boardwalk and only the 1st of the Sopranos so far (I'm going to get the rest on DVD when I have some spare cash).

Similar style shows about Gangster life in two different eras of New Jersey. From what I've seen, I think Boardwalk just edges it.

I would be interested in how you feel after seeing another two series of the Sopranos but we are all entitled to our opinions. I gave up on Boardwalk after a couple of episodes of season 2 - I just lost interest.

I would highly recommend seeing Goodfellas, Casino and Donnie Brasco if you haven't already caught them.

Just got the complete Sopranos DVD boxset (£130 rrp, £49 in HMV), so I'll let you know Film and TV review. - Page 40 3630314092

I've seen Casino, quality film (as all Robert Di Niro films seem to be!). Not seen Goodfellas or Donnie Brasco yet, but they're on the list. Scarface is next on the list.

I'm 28, why would I want to watch a cartoon?

I bet you secretly love The Lion King and watch it every night before bed! king

You know, there's lots of cartoons made for older audiences, as well as cartoons for the whole family and just the kids.

The Simpsons
Family Guy
American Dad
King Of The Hill
Futurama
South Park

are some of the more famous "adult-orientated" cartoons - and they are just TV series. There are quite a few films as well with "Team America: World Police" springing to my mind to begin with.

£49 is a good price for the entire set but have you never tried ebay? You can pick up most boxset DVD's for a third of the manufacturers price.

I bought BoardWalk Empire and all the Lost and 24 series from ebay at a fraction of the cost.

Enjoy the Sopranos!

I've used Ebay a few times and never had any issues, but I tend to shop around if I'm buying stuff online. I use Play, HMV, Amazon and Ebay usually. I just happened to be in HMV this morning and saw the price and thought, I'm having that right now!

Funny, I'm an adult and I do. South Park, Futurama & The Simpsons being favourites from the list Bwfc71 posted. To be fair, if the nephews or nieces have control of the TV, it's hit or miss whether I can stay in the room. For example, Spongebob makes me wanna become a terrorist and blow up Nickelodeon HQ. So I need to leave the room when that's on.

Ebay is great for Blu-rays.

Just search "(blu-ray: )" << like that and put max price 0.99p and you can get some right bargains.

Just watched the second episode of The Following. Not sure if I am going to stick with this. They really are stretching credibility to the limit.

Just had the pleasure of watching Taken 2, now I thought the first one was a pretty good and IMO after watching the 2nd it should have ended at the first film.

For anyone who has seen it, the scenes with his daughter lobbing grenades around is one of the most far fetched things you will ever see in a film.

More far fetched than Star Wars?

To be fair you know that's bollocks to begin with but the film tries making out you can gather how far away someone is by lobbing bombs all over the place.
