Impressive. I can't even open a tin without having a medic on standby.Bwfc1958 wrote:I made a ravioli lasagne. It was dead easy. I didn't make my own sauce or my own ravioli, Dolmio and tesco must take the credit for that, but I did stick it all in a dish and and put it in the oven. I even grated some cheese onto it. I'm well on my way to being a Michelin starred chef, it's just a matter of time.karlypants wrote:I hope 58 has tried to do some proper cooking today!

Cooking's not hard, lads.
That's just a myth they spin us when we get married so they can control us by keeping us hungry and needy.
Go and buy a copy of Jamie's 30 Minute Meals - it'll liberate and empower you!

You mean you only have it in the kitchen for when visitors come round to think you are good cooks!Norpig wrote:we have it in our kitchen but to be honest i can't be arsed to do real cooking Cook in sauces are a life saver in our houseBreadman wrote:Cooking's not hard, lads.

I've worked as a contractor in at least 25 food factories over the last 20 years, including Nestle, United Biscuits, Associated British Foods, Unilever, Heinz, Warburtons and a host of others.
We very, very rarely buy pre-prepared anything, be it meals, sauces or anything else.
Draw your own conclusions.
And it's really not difficult to make your own stuff.
It takes about 20 minutes to make a huge pan of Ragoo using mince, tomatoes, carrots, celery, onions, herbs and seasonings.
That gets frozen and becomes your base for a whole host of tasty pasta dishes.
The white sauce (Bechamel to give it its proper name) is just butter, flour and milk and that only takes about five minutes to do.
If you add grated cheese, it becomes Mornay sauce if you want to impress your Mrs with your new found culinary ability.
It really is a piece of piss and it takes no time at all.
Try it.

Came home after a few last night and ordered ham, sweet sausage and mushroom pizza. Loaded it up with hot sauce and gorged myself on it. Suffering a bit this morning.
Will cook tonight to make up for it.

Wayne walkers (or wankers our pet name for him!) do have a fantastic selection of meat and their prices really are good.
We always get their fresh chicken breast in big packs (4kg) for £18 and their selection of different cuts of steak is good and so is their price.
They do have offers on and we got a small corn fed chicken and medium size gammon joint for a fiver and both were tasty!
It really is worth a visit and the place is great in summer if you like having barbies.
They also sell big 7.5kg sacks of spuds and sacks of onions cheap as well.

Nope it is all cooked, veg, meat, potatos and gravy. Like a carvery. The toby carvery just off the motorway in bolton does takeaway carveries too.

I know it's only a fiver but very poor when you just get a slither of meat.
