Channel 81 on Freeview is the place to go for old movies and tv series. I watched Hawkeye yesterday morning. Haven't seen it since I was a kid.

CH 81 gets better. Tomorrow morning....
Woman Eater.
A mad scientist captures women and feeds them to a flesh-eating tree, which in turn gives him a serum that helps bring the dead back to life.
It's preceded by Old Mother Riley Meets The Vampire.
Get in!

"Strangers" on ITV player was a bit unsatisfying despite despite John Simm reprising his role of "desperate idiot with no sense of danger trying to find the truth" and some great acting from the whole cast apart from Emilia Fox who was as wooden and simpering as usual. Started "Informer" on BBC player and the first episode is very promising so I hope it delivers.

Totally agree with both comments. Strangers which concluded last night wasn't bad either.

Lucky Grills no less. He has a relative called Curtis Grills who works for Magnet kitchens in Lancaster.boltonbonce wrote:I've been enjoying Bargearse.
OK, it's Aussie cop show Bluey, badly dubbed. But who cares.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs
Some sections better than others but overall definitely worth watching.

I wasn't going to watch it, but after your recommendation I did.
You're right, not bad.
Stick to film reviews in future, forget Brexit.

Ridiculous movie. Some mute woman masturbating on a regular basis in her bath.Natasha Whittam wrote:xmiles wrote:The Shape of Water

This is a serious film thread and you bring up masturbation. What a surprise.

Good clean entertainment. Apart from the singing.

Recently got Netflix and am now watching Ozark.
I also enjoyed Arrival, which is that rare thing a quality scifi film.

Anyone watching the ABC murders on BBC1?
Malkovich isn't my cup of tea as Poirot.
Having said that, I'm enjoying it well enough.

Interesting and entertaining but I found some bits irritating. I'm no Agatha Christie expert but this was clearly a modern adaptation.

I’m loving Parfum on Netflix - it’s an excellent tale of murder, perversion and obsession not to be confused with the Siskind book of the same name which is completely different. It’s in German with subtitles and well worth it. A proper thriller.
