Why have you used a picture of a child who is a kkk member for your avi? Open racism on a forum is poor form kp, especially for mod of the year. Tut tut.karlypants wrote:Sorted. (KP, the real tech support)

Our school has an audition once and it was either for children's ward or joshs giants. Can't remember which one. I was about 7 and got picked along with 2 or 3 others to go on it. Everything was going fine until they asked if we knew any nursery rhymes. So i piped up and started singing the bears in the wood song. The explicit version. I've never lived it down. The first of two phone calls home from school my mum ever got. The second one was when i got expelled.
I wont say exactly what happened but the teacher said your son did such a thing to my mum who was at work at the time. She said i hope you have sufficient evidence he would never do anything like that. The teacher just ever so cool and calm said......"yeah, hes admited it!" At least i was honest

I do.
The Amazing World Thereof.
He looked like a Jewish Barry Norman and his voice was ace.
Sunday afternoons as I recall, back before we had football.
(And I'm not that old........)

Remember the name Kreskin but don't have a clue what he did?
There was a time when you couldn't get away from U.S. cop shows on the box.
Had to be a gimmick, though - bald head, lollipop, scruffy mac, wheelchair, fat gut, two women or even a cowboy riding round lassoing crooks.

First saw Kreskin in the 70's when his show was aired in the afternoon.
Refreshingly,he never claimed any special powers. Everything was done,he said,by the power of suggestion.
An early version of Derren Brown.
There used to be a very funny 'Private Dick' show called 'TenSpeed and Brownshoe', but it never took off.
I remember all those on your list Numpty.

I suppose chasing round after bad guys on a ten-speed racing bike is kind of a gimmick but just wearing brown shoes is stretching the concept a wee bit.

Have you ever seen 'Diagnosis Murder'?
Dick Van Dyke plays an amateur sleuth, who also happens to be a surgeon. He travels around the hospital on roller skates, and plays the clarinet. Sometimes doing both at the same time. His son in the show(and in real life)plays the police detective, who needs his Dad to solve all his cases for him.
In fact, most of the Van Dyke family have appeared in the show at some time or another, and after seeing them act,it's pretty obvious that it's the only acting work they're ever likely to get.
