I would say it can be classed as retro.Lever ender wrote:Knight rider, the A team. Keenan and kel. Saved by the bell. All not quite retro. But good enough to be mentioned
The A Team used to make me laugh. They'd get stuck in some blokes shed, with a screwdriver, a couple of screws and a lawnmower and then come blasting out 15 minutes later in a fucking tank they've just built.

I remember Frank getting a job as a gas fitter, and blowing up some poor blokes house. As he left through what was left of the front door he said, 'well.that's all I can do for the moment. I'll come back tomorrow'.Bwfc1958 wrote:Some mothers so Ave em was hilarious. You played the lead role superbly Bonce.
Daft,but fun.

I watched one just before Christmas. He was doing his driving lessons and test. I've not laughed that hard for ages, I could hardly breathe. They don't make sitcoms like that anymore.boltonbonce wrote:I remember Frank getting a job as a gas fitter, and blowing up some poor blokes house. Loved Catweazle, I've got both series on DVD and love to watch an episode every sunday tea time during the summer months. Evokes such fabulous memories.boltonbonce wrote:Catweazle was brilliant. Although they rather spoilt the 2nd series by making it with an eye to the American market.
Still a joy though.

Does anyone remember a really weird and haunting Kids series that was shown on Sunday teatimes in about 1972 called "The Intruder". It was absolutely compelling stuff and was probably quite frightening and disturbing for younger kids but I've never forgotten it and would love to be able to watch it again even now.

used to like the original series of My favourite Martian.
Bonce, thanks for the clip of XL5. Thoroughly enjoyed it
Hip Priest, you've pulled some real crackers on that list.but I would like to add the The Goons tv show, along with Michael Bentine's Square World. I blame these for my love of the ridiculous.
