I guess what some people miss is that talking shite on the internet is one thing but every now and again something is said that hits a raw nerve with someone who happens to be going through something bad in their personal life at the time.
Maybe God forbid, someone very close and dear to Johnny was or is seriously unwell then the talk of someone dying would probably not be a subject he would want to see over all the forum he normally frequents.
Maybe worst still the squabbling and name calling of someone who had just died that day regarding whatever their perceived faults were (he never touched up kids, or raped or killed anyone remember!) was simply too much to bare. Johnny obviously felt (as did the vast majority of us) that the deceased, Phil Gartside, should have been allowed a modicum of respect to be remembered with dignity and his family allowed to grieve in peace, free from petty minded game playing and point scoring by those who care only about themselves and the reactions they can elicit in others.
If that was the case could anybody blame him for thinking, 'you know what, fuck this place, I've had enough'.
Maybe it was a rash decision and maybe he will return on Nuts one day soon hopefully but he did what he had to do at the time.
It's pitiful that some people think playing games on the internet is more important than real life events and the respect that should be accorded to them.
Maybe best for all if we let the matter drop now and move on.
