you still had a flatbed truck driving round my way when I was a kid selling the fizzy pop, can't remember the name for the life of me but was good.
Much better than Coke and that Dr. Pepper that tastes like fizzy benelin!

Alpine took over from Corona in our area. Corona were too pricey.

Ben Shaws sarsaparilla was good and you'd get 10p back on the bottle for 20 1/2p sweets.

I never knew what it was until I was given a couple of home made bottles when I was a kid in the very early 90's.Fabians Right Peg wrote:karlypants wrote:Always loves sasparella? When I was a kid.

My grandad used to tell me that he used to pop over the wall for bottles and take them back in for the rebate back on them.

We had a news agents, used to get loads of kids who would spend all day collecting bottles on the estate, then pile in 5 minutes before we closed to raid the penny tray.
The hard kids would go for beer bottles, the fat ones would go for 1/2p gummy bears and the girls went for cherry lips, although there was one lad that used to like those as well.

No tipple for me tonight but after listening to the game tomorrow no doubt i'll be on the Old Mout Cider either Kiwi and Lime or Summer berries. I need something to help me numb the pain.

Just picked up three bottles of sauvignon blanc for Mrs McD and I this evening. I have to take my boys on 2 swimming runs in the morning, tae kwon do and 'soccer' in the afternoon and and the pixel academy (basically pissing around in Minecraft) in the evening so I may as well do it all with a sore head. At least it will take my mind off the football results which will be very necessary.

I feel brilliant.
All refreshed and ready to take on the world - Tea! It's the future.
I just need to buy a gazunder because it's cold in our bathroom at 3 am.
