I don't drink very often these days. Maybe once a month. Likely a little more in December, and definitely less in January. It all balances out.

But when I do, I like to fully enjoy it. Go for it - get drunk, have one too many and let loose. I'm a harmless drunk unless someone is an absolute cock so I'm happy to let my guard down every now and then and I think it really does me good. As a person that is. Relax.

What kind of boozer are you? What's your go-to drink? What's your trigger? What's your post-drink snack? Do you get hangovers?

..dunno..

I used to drink mild beer until I moved down to London and the pubs didn't sell it, so I started to drink Guinness, and still do.

I've never been a big drinker and have always been a social drinker, I've got stuff at home and never touch it unless friends come round.

I never had hangovers although I've been drunk more than a few times but as I got older the alcohol started to effect me the day after, even though I'd stopped drinking well before I would have reached the point of getting drunk.

At my age now just a couple of pints will make me suffer the day after.

Like a good quality lager and craft beers, can't stand the likes of Fosters and Carling.

I tend to stick to my old standby, Guinness, although, like Norpig, I like a good craft beer.

However, the Doc says I need to lose a stone.

I seem to drink Old Speckled Hen along with other IPA's/craft ales these days when I get the chance to.

I don't mind a few pints of proper cider either!

Guinness is my drink of choice although I do enjoy a cold Red Stripe Beer (or two!) I visited the US a few years ago and did something of a beer tour with a friend of mine - I had a few interesting IPA's.

I’ve never had red stripe but they do sell it here. IPA is a good choice, not bitter or heavy like a dark beer and not like piss (UK lager). It’s also nice in the sun.

You should try a Red Stripe and drink to my health (which probably requires a second!)

I’ve just seen this now for some reason…

Anyway, we had a bbq whilst the weather was nice before it turned awful and he popped round the corner to the local shop and came back with 4 cans of Red Stripe.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen it in the supermarket. I wonder why it’s the local corner shops that sell it?

I tried to crack the Bovril open this evening but the previously opened jar had the lid stuck to it like glue so gave up and had a mug of instant gravy instead! 😁
