I presume that you're being a bit ironic here.  The last thing we need is another ex-player.

I have- but I'm a simple person and it takes me some time to get the joke.
My money's on Chris Powell - apparently he and Deano once shared a jacuzzi in a Travelodge with Nat

Struggling to think of reasons why it wouldn't be Brown.

Ex-player, ex-coach, Bolton based (saw him in Morrisons buying a steak once), good mates with Holdsworth, most recent job done is a respectable one.

Can't say I'm that bothered either way. Like any realistic candidate, he's done good jobs and bad jobs, so all we can do is take a chance on one of them and hope for the best.

Brown is probably as good as we'll get.
Knows League 1,and will probably be in a position to identify the players we need to give ourselves a good chance of getting out of it.
Personally,I was hoping for someone with a much bigger chin.

He might not- the guy who owns Forest is a billionaire headcase, and Pearson might have more sense than to go anywhere near him

You're forgetting that Pearson is also a bit of a headcase. If he had more sense he'd still be managing Leicester.

Lets be honest, can you really see even a reasonably famous name coming to us ?
He'll have no money, players who don't know their arse from their elbows, and relegation. probably get a 'new' and 'up a an coming, young manager', i'e he'll be cheap, and someone we may have heard of in passing, but nobody we really know.

If we had got rid of Lennon over a week ago we could have usurped Newcastle and snaffled Rafa. Chances missed and all that.....
