Drummer?

Clem Burke of Blondie.

Just seen him on Beeb4 and was blown away.

Technically brilliant and he's a cool bloke.

Saw them at FTH a couple of times after Wake man had left. Always put on a good show but not one of my faves.

Just seen The Fall doing I am Kurious oranj with that poncey Scottish dance fella on BBC4.

Wow, never got that first time round and still don't.

Loved The Fall and remember turning up at Uni in 1988 with all my LP's and meeting a Scottish girl called Elaine who lived in the same hall as me and her being massively impressed that I owned a copy of Bend Sinister.

She introduced me to I am Kurious and I had to pretend that I liked it (cos she was fit).

Shit then, shit now.

Weird shit even for Mr Smith.

Is this the piece of brilliant lunacy to which you refer Breaders?

God, Brix was beautiful back then.

Yeah, that's it HP.

Proper weird.......

And you're right about Brix.

Couldn't believe it when she popped up on Gok Wan's telly show as a style guru.

That's a unique career path: Wife of Mark E Smith and percussionist in The Fall to style guru on C4 with a gay Chinese bloke.......

Anybody ever listen to Sound of the Sixties on Radio 2. It has been a ritual for me for many years when I can.
Brian Matthew is clocking on a bit now but he is always informative and most weeks plays some good stuff.
Unfortunately that prick Norton follows him after and it's switch off time then.

Ace SK I love playing hogweed in the car on the motorway one of my favorites, its rumoured they are back in the recording studio getting back to the early Genesis work, and Lets work together is a big fav of mine big admirer of Bob Hite and the Heat.

Many years ago I heard Hogweed , Salmacies and Musical Box on a Friday Night Radio 2 Rock show, Nursey Cryme had just come out. The day after it was in my record collection and over the period Gabriel was with them I managed to see them three or four times live. He had magnificent stage presence which I personally thought put the band in decline visually after his departure. Talk of a reunion would hopefully  provide some return to former glory for the band should he be involved.
Canned Heat were one of the early bands I hung my star on and a Best of CD still provides much listening pleasure.
Neil Young is my Bob Dylan and has been since Buffalo Springfield. His composed songs, The Beatles influenced Mr Soul especially, were in my opinion the quality songs in their sets. His hat tilting on the end of this  Cinnamon Girl video to the Beatles comes as no surprise, he had quite an obsession with them, and he still knows how to work an audience to the full, as I experienced last June.
I suspect I may revisit those links quite regularly.
