Check out trumps circular argument.
USA in a deal with Saudi for oil so when trump concludes the biggest arms deal in history with Saudi they turn on Qatar for keeping a dialogue open with Iran who are at war with Isis. Bottom line: USA funds Saudi terrorism and U.K. Falls in line.

It's all about economics, power and keeping ordinary people in the west down and in fear and without the Cold War and socialism they have to find a different bogeyman.

That's my current conspiracy theory. The west has provided a different narrative to the Shia Sunni war to justify our own economic war.

Blame the CIA not the muslims. It's all about the money honey.

Not a big fan of conspiracy theories WL.

I would also appreciate you expanding on your statement "The west has provided a different narrative to the Shia Sunni war to justify our own economic war." Shia and Sunni muslims have been killing each other in the name of religion for over a thousand years. They don't seem to need any help from the CIA.

You really are away with the fairy's mate if you believe that.

This is what you said originally -

wanderlust wrote:Trump blames Iran for sponsoring Isis. Isis attack Iran. How much more proof is needed that the us (and U.K.) either have no clue whatsoever what the issues are - or are deliberately misleading the general public?

Iran DOESN'T sponsor IS

Islamic State is Sunni Muslim and don't even believe the Shia Muslim's are true believers - that is why they bomb their mosques.

Iran is the Shia power house.

They are completely at the opposite ends of the scale to each other.

It's absolutely inconceivable that Iran would sponsor IS in any way.

I suggest this link from the BBC will better inform you as to what is happening, which seems to be a bit of a local power struggle between Qatar and Saudi that as been going on years more than anything else.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-40173757

As for your '"proof" that the US and UK have no idea what is going on or are deliberately misleading the public - well that's simply complete bollocks.  In fact it is far more likely that Saudi sponsors IS, than anything else - I'm sure there wouldn't be too many tears shed by them that IS made its first terrorist attack on Iran today.

Comey's doing a sterling job here.

Called Trump a flat-out liar, stated categorically that Russia interfered with the election, fingered Sessions and called his integrity into doubt and very deftly inferred that the Pee Pee tape not only exists but is genuine.

This is the beginning of the end and I can't wait 'til Bannon gives Trump his phone back and he starts tweeting like a maniac.

Sen Angus King's turn to interview Comey now.

"So Jim, Russia and stuff....what's the scores on the doors?"

Looks like he's been told to keep the really juicy stuff out of the public gaze "in the national interest" so presumably trump will get away with it.

How he can say that he can't tell the enquiry is beyond me.

Because, at this level, there really are things that shouldn't be in the public domain.
Unfortunately, Trump seems to think his role as POTUS puts him above not only the law, but common sense, and acceptable behavior. It won't be too long before he's impeached, unless he starts to behave like a politician, and not an untouchable company director.

I'd settle for him behaving like he's,at the very least,on nodding terms with sanity.

Someone on US TV described him as 'a horse loose in a hospital',which is pretty fair comment. Very Happy

I agree that national security is a primary concern but if it turns out that the election was rigged by the Russians or that classified info was leaked to them then trump shouldn't be Potus anyway and the American people have the right to know.

Corruption at the highest level "trumps" national security imo.

Have to say that the attorney general  recusing himself without any legal basis re the comey sacking is phenomenal tv.

It'll be interesting to see if another key witness, (bugger, forgotten his name), will be sacked by Trump.
Its all becoming farcical, and sooner or later, he will fall flat on his face, and deservedly so.

Both Trump and May have vital, big chunks missing from their hearts. Corbyn and the Queen giving May a lesson in humanity.

May has had to cough up £1 BILLION extra funding for Northern Ireland to buy the DUP vote.

Simultaneously the Supreme Court has partially lifted the injunction against Donald Trump re the travel ban so it looks like some of his proposal to stop people arriving from 6 countries - if they don't have a bona fide relationship with an American - will go into effect.
