We are being watched.

I have always been slightly sceptical about alien life forms but the more time I spend on here the more I am convinced we are being watched.

Over several months I have noticed a poster called Observer logged on with our site. He has yet to post and I am just wondering if he could be some sort of alien internet life form studying our behaviour before he makes his presence known on the 21st December.

I imagine he may look something like this.

He was a poster on Bolton Banter. A good one too.

Shame he hasn't decided to post.

As for the Alien thing, I'm convinced as well.

I can understand an interest in the possibility/probability of alien life (and I am a science fiction fan myself) but all that von Daniken stuff is complete rubbish and von Daniken himself is a convicted fraudster.

I'll be honest i have never heard that name.

I just find the so called "evidence" fascinating, Even Richard Dawkins has said he agrees at least the ancient alien theory has a plausibility. I'm not being silly i know it's likelihood is about as great as 0.0000000000000000000000000000001% but i love it non the less.

Obviously proves nothing, apart from that egyptian illustrator had a very vivid and somewhat prophetic imagination.

To be fair, with the missing link between us and apes, still missing, I actually believe a little that we do not originate from earth but from another solar system and the link between us and apes is just random. hence hyroglyphics and there more examples than the one above, show more fantastic illustrations of "futuristic" travel vehicles.

I think I see a Blimp and a Submarine as well.

There is no missing link. You don't get to see every link in the evolutionary chain of any species but the evidence is there and it's solid.

I only believe in things that have been proven with evidence.

thats not to say i don't have a strong curiosity and fascination with things that haven't been.

alien life and the mysteries of the univerise are two of those things.

I am sure I either heard or read somewhere that wormholes have actually been proven - I know about blackholes as that old news

Erich von Daniken wrote a book in the late 1960's subtitled 'Was God an Astronaut - which was a big hit at the time - I read it myself - giving example of how early 'visitors' to our planet helped our ancestors develop themselves - but later most (if not all of it) was proved to be twaddle.

Even so he is one of the main figures for popularising the "paleo-contact" and ancient astronaut hypotheses (according to Wiki anyhow).



It was quite a stimulating read at the time - I wasn't convinced by it myself - but it did introduce me to things I had never heard of before such as the Nazca Lines - well worth a look if you don't know about them -

I would say this is pretty compelling evidence that the Egyptians saw motorized flying machines. Similar drawings were found in caves in the Kalahari desert which were drawn by Bushmen. Carbon dating revealed that the drawings depicted were over 2,000 years old.

The likeable Paddy, Chris De Burgh seems to know more than he is letting on.
