Well that was a surprise. The more people saw of May and her policies the more they disliked her.
I guess we won't be hearing about "strong and stable" any more now that May has managed to weaken her already weak negotiating position. I also supect that we will hear a lot less about "the will of the people" too.

if anyone ever doubted that every vote counts just look at the fife result. 42k turned out and the snp held on by 2 votes after three recounts.Bread2.0 wrote:72% turnout amongst 18-25's.

And regarding the Yoof Vote, look at Newcastle Under Lyme.
Students at Keele turned away from Polling Stations because of out of date registers, flagged it up on social media, Electoral Commission stepped in, they were then allowed to vote and Labour got in with a majority of 30 over the Tories.
Labour 21,124
Tories 21,094
Fantastic.

Two fingers up to the disgraceful Sun and Mail whose appalling stances have had no influence whatsoever on an electorate who have the brains to see through their gross treatment of Corbyn.

Gorgeous George did better than expected in my constituency of Gorton, he came 3rd in front of the Lib Dems and UKIP. Labour scraped home with a 31K majority

I thought it would have to be a coalition now?
So Conservatives would need to approach the SNP to have enough?

So if Conservative can't get a deal with the SNP but SNP join Labour, even though Labour still haven't got enough votes and Conservative now would not be able to get enough then would that not put Labour in power?
Is that right or not?

She's gone cap in hand to the DUP.
I sincerely hope that the Mail and Sun will produce suitably outraged headlines tomorrow about her being "the terrorist's friend".
But they won't....

Labour can't realistically get a majority but the tories just need to do a deal with the orange lodge dup to get there. However they are playing hard to get for the cameras but will capitulate at noon.

May can't fight another General Election, therefore there has to be a Tory leadership election in the near future.

I remember an exchange with Bread, just after JC was elected Party leader, and I think I said something along the lines of 'I think I've got my Party back'.
Nothing since has changed my mind on that, and I was fair punching the air this morning.
OK,we didn't win,but what's been achieved is remarkable.
And he's done it in the face of a series of disgusting personal attacks from the right wing media, and in spite of the dummy spitting antics of the PLP.
Well done that man.
How did Manda do?
