Nothing since has changed my mind on that, and I was fair punching the air this morning.
OK,we didn't win,but what's been achieved is remarkable.
And he's done it in the face of a  series of disgusting personal attacks from the right wing media, and in spite of the dummy spitting antics of the PLP.
Well done that man.

I remember that well.

And I fully endorse the sentiments expressed.

For the first time in years, I feel properly enthusiastic about Labour again.

What's been great to see,is the enthusiasm of younger voters.

In passing,is it me,or is May trying to pretend nothing's happened.

You sad bastards, celebrating defeat!

I am disgusted that the party I voted for came a miserable second.

I'm thinking of standing myself next time, just to make sure it's done right.

How long do we have to wait now until another election?

Is the maximum time 2 years with a coalition?

Agreed.

She's a woman in denial. She'll be gone in a few months.

And at the other end of the spectrum from May's desperate attempts to hang on.....

.....Nuttall's resigned on the spot and even deleted his Twitter and FB pages.

Excellent!

And....! Farage (of all people) has popped up and suggested that there is now a very real argument for a second Brexit referendum.

(Based on the assumption that May's standing with the other European leaders is shot, so she'll negotiate a shit deal.)

Today keeps getting better and better because if we do have another referendum, it won't wind up 51/49 like last time....no fucking chance!

Tre-fucking-mendous.

It won't be a formal coalition with the DUP.

There has been a behind the scenes understanding with the DUP for the last two years.

I guess there will be a Tory leadership election in the summer recess before the political conference season.

Probably another General Election before next spring.

Wouldn't be many standing members when they caught sight of you.

It probably depends on the Fox's sexual orientation and religious persuasion, given that they're anti-gay marriage and pro-creationist.

Oh yeah, and they used to be big mates with the UVF, UDA and UFF.

You know....actual terrorists.

What a complete mess the Conservatives have got us ALL in.

Cameron with the unnecessary 'Brexit' referendum in the first place, then May WEAKENING her power by embarking on a general election that wasn't planned for another three years (although I could see her logic for doing it).

Now we've got May having to form a coalition government with Arlene Fosters DUP who herself is a sort of 'mini-me' Theresa May with the massive on going scandal in Northern Ireland of the Renewable Heat Insensitive Scandal (link below)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renewable_Heat_Incentive_scandal

It seems May has undermined her own authority to negotiate Brexit with the EU and such how can her position as Prime Minister be tenable and good for the country?

It seems to me that we've got a lame duck PM, leading the country into a Brexit deal propped up in power by the Northern Irish DUP (Northern Ireland voting to REMAIN in the EU - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-36614443 ) that probably the majority of the country no longer wants - certainly not the people of the party that will now be propping up the Government!!!

It's going to be a nightmare negotiating Brexit - the EU knowing she has failed disastrously to get the mandate from the country she sought - and in Parliament where all the other party's will be opposed to any sort of deal she is seeking to get.

I can't see this being good for anyone.

To my way of thinking the only way out of this stupidity is to re-endorse the will of the country to want Brexit - and the only way to do this is by a second referendum.

If it still returns the country's desire for Brexit, then it gives whoever is in government the mandate to continue (and shuts up the 'remoaners' and their pettiness and bitterness in steering Brexit through Parliament) and if it 'overwhelmingly' shows Remain then we then go cap in hand to the EU seeking a way to stay in the EU and end the Article 50 exit that we are currently going down.

The bigger picture needs to be addressed for the future of us all.

I would add that uk companies have had some stick on the ftse today which is unusual when the £ plummets even further as a falling £ is usually seen as uk business being more competitive internationally so confidence in "U.K. Plc" is down the pan thanks to the tories.

The irony is that they used to sell themselves as the party that would deliver strong economic performance and was good for business.
These are the same people who claimed to be the party of "law and order" before decimating the police force.

And yet 43% of the electorate voted for them.

Well said!

The man that actually drafted Article 50 says it is revocable, "it is a process not a punishment".

The real problem is selling the idea of a second referendum to the country. The only way this could be done is for a number of key Tories to admit that negotiating brexit is going to be even more difficult for the reasons you outlined. Another problem is Corbyn because he shown no enthusiasm for opposing brexit at all.

You've got to laugh:- Buffoon Boris is favourite to take over as PM if May steps aside. Have the Tories got a death wish? Brexit negotiations are doomed to end in European ridicule if the Tactless One is involved......or as The Guardian put it, he will drop his trousers and indulge in a few gags to feed his attention-seeking needs, and the 27 nations will grin and shrug their shoulders disdainfully.
