It was good to see Murray and Konta progress to the quarters today but the highlight had to be that amazing match between Lichtenstein's Gilles Muller against Rafa Nadal which 34 year old Muller won 15 -13 in the fifth set. Two left handers with Muller playing the type of serve and volley game we haven't seen for donkey's years - wonderful to watch.

Muller is from Luxembourg. I met him once in a bar in Amsterdam. Nice chap.

Nadal is the King of Clay. Grass is his worst surface. He said he didn't think he could win Wimbledon when interviewed after winning Roland Garros for the 10th time.
Federer, Murray and Novak left. You decide.

I'm having trouble caring. Finding it a challenge to watch this year for some reason

And yet he's won Wimbledon as many times as Andy Murray.Reebok Trotter wrote:Nadal is the King of Clay. Grass is his worst surface.

Johanna Konta about to start her QF match against Simona Halep. Come on Tim, Andy, Jo!

Great match between Konta and Halep. One set all, both on tie breaks. It's as tight as a Gnat's chuff.

Konta seems mentally tough and indefatigable. Will she be as positive against Venus?

Murray crashes out of Wimbledon - seems his hip injury was too much. Lost the last 2 sets 6-1

He wasn't at his best but after winning the third set on a tie breaker and going 2-1 up he seemed to lose it completely. He's clearly carrying a hip injury.

I don't get why he didn't call for the trainer at any stage. It was obvious he wasn't moving well so given it was the quarter final of Wimbledon a painkiller and 5 minutes to get his head together and disrupt Querrey's momentum might have been timely.

I see Novak has pulled out as well. It looks like it's Federer's to lose.

I think questions will be asked about Wimbledon's playing surface when the tournament is over seeing as there have been so many people injured this time round. Obviously some like Murray were carrying injuries from beforehand but it does seem like a lot more players than usual are slipping and falling this year.

They mentioned on the news that the playing surface hasn't been as good as previous years. Where is Percy Thrower when you need him?

It's grass. Sometimes you can slip. Its been happening since the dawn of time.
Stop making excuses for overpaid ponces.

Johanna Konta is the slight favourite to beat Venus Williams today for a place in the final.

I have a sneaky feeling she might not.
