Poll: Where Do You Stand On Owen Coyle?

Guys - really scraping the bottom of the barrel when you need to attack Coyle's attire. Moan about his tactics and team selections by all means - he has deserved that sort of criticism.

There are some people on various Bolton forums who will pick fault with the guy even if we won our first 10 games. Madness!

Never underestimate the power of a man in a sharp suit.

Remember when we lost to Watford in the play-off final in 1999? Colin Todd made a big deal of treating it as "just another game" so he and his players all wore tracksuits and t-shirts. Watford turned up in their best Saville Row clobber and totally intimidated the Bolton team. The game was a walkover for Watford.

If Coyle wore a suit it would be a start.

Nat - What would you prefer. 2nd and Coyle in shorts or 7th and Coyle in a sharp suit???

Do you think the players get on the pitch and say, "Right guys, the gaffer's in shorts again so lets just ignore everything we've worked on in training and stitch him up!!!"

I bet they laugh amongst themselves about Coyle having his kit on and socks pulled up to his knees every game.

But we won't finish 2nd with Coyle in shorts.

When the Bolton players see the manager in shorts they see a man who's not taking the game seriously, so they do exactly the same. In contrast, it gives the opposition a boost to see Coyle's skinny legs because they know Bolton are there for the taking.

Coyle needs to get suited up and start respecting the game of football.

I'll bet you anything that whoever wins the Championship has a manager in a suit.

I don't think getting suited and booted did much for Lickle Sammy.

That boom mic Sammy Lee wore was awful. He looks like a cross between a funeral director and a team leader at a McDonald's Drive-Thru.
