New loanee from Everton, not heard much about the lad but it seems we are calling in favours from BSA.

An attacking midfielder that can chip in with the odd goal - Josh Vela on his way out? Hope not.

Fuck me, he makes Peter Crouch look fat and Marcus Rashford an OAP.
He'll snap in half if the wind gets up.
We need experienced players who have a bit of meat on them.
Fuck off Parky, I'd rather sign Fat Sam than this small boy.

He's a versatile player which is useful. He's played attacking midfield for Everton U23s and finished joint top scorer in their league winning side, left back for Everton first team and wide for Ireland U21s.

Means absolutely nothing. He isn't ready for a Championship dogfight, this would be a truly awful signing.

We don't know if he's ready for a Championship dogfight or not and may do better than established and experienced Championship players like Wilbraham, No-one or Chris Taylor. Or he may crash and burn. Either way Parky seems to think we need him but whether or not it's a knee-jerk reaction to losing Pratley, Cullen and Henry time will tell.Natasha Whittam wrote:wanderlust wrote:He's a versatile player which is useful. Ken said a month ago that because Bolton had too many first team squad players not being picked, he would only sign players who were good enough to go straight into the first team and get results.
I'm sure this Everton player is signed with that in mind...

He sounds promising hes 21 so not that young in terms of ready to be blooded at this level, it was a given that Sam would loan someone, just maybe he thinks this kid can come good, no different to when Nolan made his debut. If he does make an impact he seems to have goals in him.
Would agree though that we need some experienced players as well

Bolton Wanderers are delighted to confirm the signing of Everton midfielder Harry Charsley on loan for the remainder of the 2017/18 campaign.
The 21-year-old has been in the ranks at Goodison Park since the age of nine and after earning his scholarship with the club, he helped the Toffees’ youngsters to secure their respective league title in 2013/14 before being named as their Under-18 Player of the Year the following campaign.
Also a Republic of Ireland youth international at various levels, he boasts a keen eye for goal and finished last season as joint-top goalscorer for Everton’s Under-23s, in turn helping the Blues to secure the Premier League 2 title.
And as a result of his efforts for the Merseyside outfit’s youth sides, Charsley was handed his first team debut back in December 2017 in the club’s final Europa League group game against Apollon Limassol.
Now however, the youngster will continue his development at Macron Stadium and will link up with fellow Toffees academy graduate Antonee Robinson who recently agreed a loan extension with Wanderers.
Charsley will wear the number 20 shirt and goes straight into Phil Parkinson’s squad for this weekend’s Sky Bet Championship clash away at Brentford.
Speaking regarding the acquisition of the highly-rated midfielder meanwhile, the manager said, “Harry is a player we have watched a lot and he can play all across the midfield as well as in behind the striker.
“He’s from Everton’s U23 team where a lot of their players have gone out on loan and have done well with the help of David Unsworth and his team.
“They almost play like a league team, so when you get a player from Everton’s youth ranks, you know that they are ready and are hardened to understand the rigours of what it takes to win games of football.
“With that in mind, we are very much looking forward to working with Harry and he is a very good acquisition for us.”
