I think we need a quality striker although Josh Magennis can put it about if he's left up front on his own - and sadly I think that's what parky signed him for i.e. to try to hold the ball up a la Madine. If he is brave enough to play e.g. ALF alongside him it might work but I doubt parky will go down that route unless we have 3 minutes left to save our season
Nor do I think Anderson would be willing to spend the kind of money required to get a quality striker in the first place as demonstrated by the Wyke saga.
GK probably, but as mentioned elsewhere we have an England youth team goalie in our ranks we could use as back up.
We have Little, Taylor, Darby and Olkowski for full backs so although it would be nice to get someone else in if we can find better quality for free, theoretically we can get by on what we have.
For me the priority would be a striker, but as that would require a) spending money and b) Parky to adapt his tactics, I don't think it will happen.
We were promised better quality than last season but with some of the signings yet to prove themselves at this level I'm not yet convinced that's what we've got as things stand.
How this squad comes together as a team is the big variable and I guess we won't really know until we're 10 games into the season.
