Aneke, Dons are still deliberating on whether to release him as I understand it.

However, we've signed a goalkeeper on loan with a view to a permanent signing. 24 years of age. Not seen a lot of him, but what I have seen looked good

He looked good with Lennon and Lennon will bring the best out of him.

Looking like Hibs have succeeded in a bid for Adam Le Fondre too. Not in the team to face Leeds

Looks like Aneke negotiations have definitely stalled [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Which in conjunction with ALF leaving suggests we might be struggling for a striker.

We really are scraping the barrel if the Madine thing is true, but moreover what's the point in having another carthorse when we already have Magennis and Donaldson to lump it to? Surely what we need is a striker with pace and an eye for goal which would provide something different to use as and when required. Madine is surely on more money than when he was with us too.
We'd be better off borrowing a kid with pace IMO.

Lusty -I agree 100% with you. How could Madine and Magennis  possibly play together as a striking duo

Can't see that one happening at all. He even played in the last game so its not like he's right down the pecking order.

Bringing back Clough to please the fans last year didn't work out and I'd be amazed if Madine would be of any more use to the team. Time to move forward instead of in ever-decreasing circles.

You need a plan B, because if you're bringing on a striker it's likely plan A has failed.

That's why Le Fondre was the perfect sub.

And another reason why the club should have told him to see out his contract.

If we sign another "target man" it won't change a thing.

It seems we all agree that Madine wouldn't be the best idea, but we can't write it off as a possibility whilst we don't know what budget Parky's been given, who he has already tried and failed to get and above all Boggers being ITK. He has been right before you know.
