At the very least you'd expect her to be arrested on arrival if she ever rocked up here again.

Yes she was a child when she made her decision - and I doubt she's been educated differently whilst she's been with the IS - but surely there's something inside all of us that tells us that it is not normal to chop peoples heads off or give children real guns to play with?

We all make mistakes - but it seems clear she doesn't believe she has (even though she's lost two children whilst being there???) - so let her get on with the life she chose and that includes putting up with the medical services available where she finds herself to deal with the birth of her third child.

The Tory's know this is electoral poison in working class areas. She won't come back.

Labour however would have a welcoming party for her, as would the greens and lib Dems. Watch out for the SNP to say they will take her to Scotland.

Although I don't think she should be allowed back, I believe that she remains British, as nobody is allowed to be made stateless.

Politically we need to be seen to be doing the right thing which is to protect a British citizen and her unborn child and then have her grilled to get as much useful information out of her as possible and imprisoned if she participated in acts of terrorism or refuses to cooperate with the identification and incrimination of others involved in her recruitment.
There is no way she should be seen to have gotten away with it and if she is pleading on the basis of having been too young to have made the right choice/radicalised as a result off what we allow on the internet etc she should be compelled to make a very clear and very public statement that includes naming and shaming - which would ensure she will never become a media martyr for the gullible.
She should be made to decide if she's part of the problem or part of the solution.
