So, how about that Gartside, eh? Does he mean what he said, or is he trying to side with the fans so they don't abuse him any more on Twitter?

Sounds like coyle needs 5 or 6 minimum from 9 or he could be down the road.A win v Watford then two losses isnt going to cut it.

As a little aside to the disparaging of Arab headwear that is going on...

Gulf Arabs traditionally wear a loop of knotted twine to hold down the headdress and stop it blowing off in the wind (can't remember what it's called). In Bahrain it's usual to have a couple of extensions to this which hang down the back of the head.

The Qataris affectionately call the Bahrainis "Liptons" in reference to the similarity to a tea bag.

It's clear that OC is taking note of PGs warning as in typical middle management style, he's passed it on to the players by demanding they man up. ("We need real men on the pitch")

So who is going to be first to get sent off?

We'll have to check with Rebel's Muslim friend who's been to Dubai 3 times, whether or not 'Daft Bint' is racist.

He seems to be the authority on these matters.

after consulting with my Muslim friend, I can conclude that 'daft bint' is not racist.

it is however sexist and offensive nonetheless...

unless of course you were referring to the 'Arab' translation of 'bint' (I had to look this up on an on-line dictionary due to my high level of ignorance and racist traits - you would have had no such problems)

[Arabic, daughter; see bn in Semitic roots.]

you were calling her an Arabs daughter...

the comment was aimed as a 'blow' at nat - thus yuo meant it in a derogatory way now, im pretty sure that Nat is not the daughter of an Arab, thus you calling her a bint could be construed as racist.

now, what problem do you have with the daughters of Arabs Rolling Eyes ?

It's actually an isult in arabic, usually referring to a girl from a Lower caste or a Jewish maiden.

there you go nat... not only was he calling you a 'Jewish maiden' (not that there is anything wrong wrong with being Jewish at all) he was also implying that you are a 'poor person'
