This place is turning into a dictatorship, you'd rather have yes men agreeing with you and the site being deathly quiet as you put it than letting people have a healthy debate.
It takes two to tango sluffy, you have been as bad as name calling (moonman etc) and throwing around insults as Lusty and BOTH of you are equally to blame for the tripe we all have to wade through on here because neither of you can let it drop and be seen as the one in the wrong.

Well I've put an end to it.

I'm the one that pays for the site and I've had enough of someone who tells me I'm a liar, locks and deletes threads, accuses me of having mental health issues and severe personality disorders and all because he clearly can't stand to admit he is wrong over something absolutely trivial and meaningless on an obscure footy forum and refuses to let things drop.

Christ is calling someone a 'moonman' even remotely comparable to being an insult when compared to all that?

I've/we've warned him about his personal abuse - and we've even had 'official' complaints from members in the past about it.  He's already had bans for abuse in relation to more than me and still he persists with it.

He's not willing to modify his behaviour one iota and after three years, several bans, and many, many warnings and I've just had enough of it now.

I even offered to draw a line under things and not be an 'I told you so' seeing that Anderson had gone and we now had a new owner.

I was even stupidly concerned enough to think he may have misunderstood stuff and tried to warn him that he might be embarrassing himself with his late night post on Wways - in order that he could amend or delete it - but instead the thanks I got for this concern was yet a further barrage of abuse greeting me when I logged in this morning.

I simply don't need to tolerate that anymore particularly as I'm paying for the privilege to give him and everybody else a forum to enjoy.

I've never abused my position on here ever and I think that three years is now a fair and reasonable amount of time to tolerate his abuse off him and for him to have a more meaningful rest from here.

I don't think that is at all unreasonable of me even if you or anyone else might.

Who is Lusty?
A banished prizefighter who sparred with Sluffy much to the bemusement of most of us. They could have made a reality show of their bickering fights.  The bottom line is we are relegated and have another iffy owner and Sluffy and Lusty will have their chance again to examine the books and the accounts if and when the new owner flies the coop.  Hopefully there will be some money behind the club to get us back to the second division.  If not, we will languish for years down in the abyss of the third tier.

Personally, I thought the original jousting was quite informative, but it quickly degenerated into a (relatively) informed slanging match. Not very nice, and completely unnecessary. The only thing is that it took our minds off the absolutely crap season. Hopefully, like the season, we can see an end to Sluffy's despotism, and Wander's paranoia, (or maybe the other way around?) It'll be nice to start the season with a clean slate in all aspects and members. (Can I nominate XM for the next ban, as he's never agreed with me  Very Happy )

Let's face it, we all know Mr Bassini isn't exactly squeaky clean after the Watford business but for many of us (myself included) there was a feeling he's the best we're going to get as things stand. But if the club statement is accurate (and I see no real reason to believe otherwise) then he's already started the business of making promises then not living up to them.

If as Mr Bassini said he's already transferred a million quid into the club that would be simple to prove beyond doubt. His failure to do so and his statement about the share certificates strike me as bluster. Would you hand over an asset you haven't been paid for yet? I certainly wouldn't.

I also think it's clear Mr Anderson wants out of the club as soon as possible and wouldn't do anything that could hold up his exit. While I accept the possibility Mr Anderson is lying here I don't think it's the case, it's more likely Mr Bassini is attempting to wring something else, perhaps an even lower price for the club from the situation. For example if the players are not paid on time for April then they automatically become free agents at that point and therefore their 'value' as assets would be lost. Pehaps Mr Bassini believes if that happens he'll be able to buy the club for even less.

Ken hasn't release a statement. Aldridge is believed to have cleared his desk.

And this is also added

Bassini has told me he’s “anxious to keep the

For once no Hipster. Apparently the League decided to step in late yesterday in a bid to break the deadlock. They asked Bassini if he was serious then basically said "OK prove it to us tomorrow" (now today).

If he doesn't satisfy them he has the money and a proper plan in place at that meeting the entire deal's off. If he can prove he's got it then the League are going to 'expedite' the takeover in order to get it done before the Forest match.

What it boils down to is the EFL have said to Bassini "put up or shut up".

Now all we can do is wait to see which it is.

Why the hell have they given this clown two more days? Surely if he was serious he'd have walked into the meeting tonight with everything the league asked him to bring. Personally I think Bassini's a clown and the league should simply have said, "OK, no info means no deal."

Even administration would be preferable to continuing this farce.

The administrator I think who then claims it all back and is the first to be paid - I think that’s what someone said previously

Any future bills are paid by the Administrator. Any outstanding bills ( excepting preferential and pre-referential creditors) will probably not be paid . A deal will be negotiated with them to pay them so much  in the pound. Many will not supply us again ,so its a fraught time. Preferential creditors will be paid but will have to wait unless they decide to apply for a winding up order when it will probably be liquidation. There is a distinct possibility that the club will cease to exist and will have to be resurrected as a Newco and apply for permission to re-join the league. Where, is a matter of conjecture.
Unless the Warburtons and other wealthy Boltononians buy us out of Admin quickly as a pre-pack then we might maintain out league status.
A pre-pack is where a deal is done before Administration where we will be bought almost immediately by an interested party- its a regular feature in failing commercial organisations to protect the assets and where generally the creditors get  a percentage of what they are owed. Generally they accept it as getting something is better than getting nothing
