This is going to go down well i think  Very Happy

But to be fair the people of Bolton only have themselves to blame.

New ban coming in nationwide from Monday thanks to the dickheads.

Troops will be needed on the streets for this one.

Us semi-literate feral Plebeians` indigenous to Bolton, through our congenital moral-vacuums and underclass depravity have actually managed to get Bolton talked about. Bolton, thanks to us is the talk of the Country in the News.
It is a shame that once again we wont be able to visit our life-threatening nightclubs and risk getting our heads kicked in, robbed or murdered. We wont be able to visit any of our superb Restaurants ot take aways ( in groups of more than six ).
We will all have to pile out to the Steam Museum for a fantastic day out.
We are the talk of Britain at the moment, as is our football teams defence.

Rules clearly state that no more than 6 can gather unless there’s a till present 😀

I worked out why everyone in Portugal is wearing a mask everywhere they go today. They’re 10 euros for a box of 50. Fifty.
Mind you two bottles of lager and a 250 ml glass of something that passes for Prosecco is 2.30 euros.
Then I was told that the minimum wage is marginally over 3 euros / hour so it’s starting to make sense.

A 23-year-old man from Bolton has been fined £1,000 after failing to quarantine after returning from a holiday in Ibiza on Thursday, August 20.

Spain is one of the countries the government has imposed a 14-day quarantine regulation on for travellers arriving back to the UK.

Police say the man had left his home on numerous occasions as well as holding a house party where a number of people attended.

After being reported for breaching the strict self-isolation regulations, he was stopped a few days later by a police officer.

He was issued with a fixed penalty notice of £1,000.

Chief Inspector Nicola Williams of Greater Manchester Police, said: "Due to the rise in cases in Bolton the area has been put in to further lockdown regulations. This shows the importance of following the regulations and quarantining on return to the UK is just one of the areas people can help stop the spread.

"The actions of this man were completely irresponsible, not only was he leaving the house while he should been self-isolating, he also held a house party, which breached further regulations and subsequently put others at risk. "We must all continue to play our part in reducing the spread of Covid-19 and our action towards this individual should serve as a stark warning to any others who believe that they can blatantly ignore COVID-19 regulations without consequence."

Portugal announces new social restrictions

The Portuguese themselves are ramping up measures - so it's certainly not our government over reacting either!

Portugal has announced new restrictions to control the spread of the virus on the same day that the UK removed the country's mainland its safe travel corridor..

The Portuguese authorities have now restricted social gatherings to 10 people, down from 20 previously. The sale of alcohol will be banned from 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT) along with drinking in public spaces.

Portugal recorded 646 infections on Wednesday, the highest since 20 April.

Now what was it you were saying...?

I’m going to have to spend two weeks at home when I get back so we’ve decided to stay an extra week and enjoy the sea, sunshine and wine first. Back next Thursday.
It’s going to be a bummer missing the footie but the kids are going to have to drive over and do all our shopping for us and I’ll be forced to sit in the man cave, write tunes and drink beer. It’s going to be tough but I think I’ll get through it somehow.
Probably a wise move as I’ll be returning to a country with 4 times the number of new cases than Portugal.

I’m ok so far thanks honey.
And I’ll be going back to quarantine in the safest place so I can do my bit to ensure it stays that way.
